Communications & IS Assistant

The Agent Support Network of America (ASNOA) supports business owners who
manage their own independent insurance agency. We provide education, training,
marketing, insurance carrier access and business solutions that include, but are not
limited to: accounting, IT, Agency Management Systems and paperless automation

The Communications Assistant will be an integral member of the communications and
information systems teams helping to build, maintain and market ASNOA services. As a
result, we are looking for a creative and collaborative individual with excellent
interpersonal and communication abilities, with the ambition to grow with the company.
Your job, should you choose to accept, would be to help us portray our benefits and
services to prospective business owners looking to grow their business and to help
engage current agents in the network to utilize our services to the fullest. In addition,
you would help us to maintain and continuously improve our systems, products, and
services to better serve our members.
• Design, develop and disseminate ASNOA internal and external corporate
communications (e-newsletters, e-blasts, blog posts, announcements, invitations
• Manage the corporate communications editorial calendar and assist with
maintaining additional marketing editorial calendars
• Maintain our social media accounts and continuously look for new trending
• Serve as one of the primary staff writers by writing, editing and producing original
content for internal and external audiences
• Assist with identifying media opportunities and maintaining media and social
influencer contacts
• Help to develop press releases and retain an archive of news coverage
• Support the ongoing maintenance and development of the company website
• Assist with the overall development, production and distribution of ASNOA print
and digital marketing campaigns including direct mail, email, video production,
social media, advertising, in-person/special events, and much more
• Help to maintain a database of images and videos
• Support the research, vetting and implementing of new ASNOA member
programs, vendor relationships and other benefits as applicable
• Create new accounts in the constituent relationship management (CRM) system,
provide detail-oriented data entry, develop and improve upon our email
automation and administer branding on ASNOA resale CRMs with the goal of
eventually helping to manage the program
• Assist with event planning including venue selection, catering, A/V, registration,
marketing, presentations, speakers, sponsorships, set up and more
• Conduct backend set up and maintenance of ASNOA’s agency management
system: Applied Epic
• Assist with general office needs that pertain to information systems
• Perform other duties as requested
Required Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business administration or
another relevant field required
• Strong writing and proofreading skills required
• Robust, confident experience with social media platforms including Facebook,
Twitter, Linkedin, Google + and Hoot Suite
• Professional proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must
• Experience with and/or interest in learning content management software such as
Constant Contact, Mail Chimp or Active Campaign preferred
• Experience with or desire to learn website content editing and database
management preferred
• Familiarity and/or interest in graphic design and video production preferred
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines, and
the ability to reprioritize as necessary
• Proactive self-starter; able to develop solutions to complex matters and
brainstorm new ideas independently as well as on a team
